Angry Birds: NZ is a game in the Angry Birds series developed by Rovio Entertainment and Countries Entertainment.
Gameplay[]
This game plays similarly to any other Angry Birds slingshot game, with some concepts from Angry Birds 2, such as maps and single numbered levels.
There are a lot of concepts and additions to this game, including new blocks with most of them having a special function. This was made to increase the amount of strategy in the game.
Just like any other game, you sling birds to pop all of the pigs in a level. You get stars depending on how well you did. If you run out of birds and not all of the pigs are popped, you fail the level. Unlike some of Rovio’s more recent games, there are no lives in this game, meaning you can play levels as many times as you like.
There are power-ups and boosters to help you beat the level, too.

The Blues | The trio of pranksters once again prove how carefree they are again by making a giant slingshot, then slinging themselves. Luckily they landed in New Zealand. | Splits into three, dealing moderate damage to glass. | Start of game |
![]() |
Matilda | The mother of the flock, Matilda naturally got worried when she found out that The Blues slung themselves. She was so worried that she followed The Blues to New Zealand. | Drops egg bombs from above, dealing moderate damage to wood and strong damage to glass. | Level 6 |
![]() |
Kakariki | Dives down, destroying glass, wood and sometimes stone. | Level 21
![]() |
Bubbles | Bubbles loves candy. He also loves being with The Blues, and he apparently had to follow them. Unfortunately he didn’t land in the same place as the others. Fortunately, he landed in Lake Brunner. Unfortunately, the pigs found him. | Puffs up like a balloon, pushing blocks and pigs out of the way. | Level 31 |
Rangatira | Creates a vortex, bringing pigs and blocks towards her until they drop. | Level 41
Mahere | Explodes and goes invisible. | Level 61
Tiaki | Makes a sonic boom, knocking over towers, | Level 91
Nohopuku | Speeds through like Chuck, but stronger. | Level 121

Pigs[]

Minion Pigs | These common pigs are found everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Good luck finding a level that doesn't have one. | Luckily, these pigs have no abilities. | Very Common, Very Weak, Level 1. |
![]() |
Corporal Pig | Corporal Pig is the leader of the pig army, as his name suggests. While it seems like it's him that bosses around the minions, it's actually King Pig who gives him orders. | Much tougher than your average pig. | Boss, Weak-Moderate, Level 10. |
![]() |
Helmet Pig | These pigs like to pretend they're Corporal Pig with their helmets, but in reality they're just slightly more athletic Minion Pigs. | A little tougher than Minion Pigs. | Common, Weak, Level 13. |
![]() |
Chef Pig | One of the smartest pigs in the bunch, Chef Pig cooks for King Pig. Chef Pig's delicacies include Grass Soup, Risk Macarons (the risk is getting the fruit), and Hard Rock Cakes. Wait a minute... | Throws Rock Cakes at birds. | Boss, Medium, Level 20. |
![]() |
Stick Pig | These pigs decided to fight. But they could only find a stick. And for some reason they thought that would be helpful. | Pokes birds with a stick, doing low damage. | Common, Weak, Level 24 |
![]() |
Foreman Pig | Foreman Pig is the 'genius' behind all of the structures in this game, and when they fall down he blames someone else for it. Although, he does seem confident. | Tougher than a regular pig, builds a few blocks every sling. | Boss, Medium, Level 30. |
![]() |
King Pig | The ruler of Pig City and Piggy Island, King Pig wants more than just a vacation. If you defeat him the first time you'll get quite a few unlocks. Don't be fooled by his dumbness, he is quite difficult to beat. | Is much tougher than a regular pig. If some pigs are popped, he will call in replacements that give you no points. | Boss, Medium-Strong, Level 40 |
![]() |
Rogue | These pigs are outlaws - probably because they want a better mask. A decent fighter, they want 2 things: eggs and money. And probably a better mask. Seriously, who idiot designed these masks? | Deals moderate damage and in between Minion Pig and Helmet Pig health. | Common, Weak-Medium, Level 46 |
![]() |
Hiking Pig | King Pig was supposed to be here but he was defeated earlier and Hiking Pig misheard the message meant for King Pig. He likes walking up difficult tracks; he has completed all of NZ’s Great Walks. | Similar stats to Rogue, but can dodge bird attacks. | Boss, Medium, Level 60 |
