Cutscenes
Construction This article is under construction. You can help by expanding it but please do not delete this article or mark it as a stub. |
These are the cutscenes that appear in game.
The Force Awakens
There is a cutscene before TFAB1-1.
Lor San Tekka: This will begin to make things right.
(Hands Poe Dameron piece of the map to Skywalker)
Lor: Without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force.
(BB-8 appears)
BB-8: Worp worp beep!
Poe: We've got company...
After level 4, there is another scene.
Poe comes out with his binoculars.
Poe: You have to hide.
Lor: You have to leave.
(Stormtroopers come out and kill the villagers)
Poe: Come on, BB-8, hurry!
Poe jumps in his X-Wing and tries to blow up the stormtroopers.
BB-8: Weep beep!
Poe: I see 'em!
(Blasts at the stormtroopers and hops out of the X-Wing)
He gives the map piece to BB-8.
Poe: You keep this safe.
Differences from the movies
- Instead of three bloody fingerprints on FN-2187/Finn's mask, it is a snout print.
- When Chirrut Îmwe is shot, nothing is on his forehead. This is because the game is supposed to be kid-friendly, and in Rogue One, there is blood all over his head.
- When Finn strikes Phasma in the face with the lightning staff, not only can her eye be seen, but part of her snout as well.
- When Kylo Ren destroys his mask, all that is left is a snout and an ear.
- In Luke's force projection, instead of flicking dust of his shoulder, he shakes his whole body. This is due to Angry Birds characters not having arms (except in the movie and its sequel)
- Chewbacca never cooks a porg.
- Snoke is never shown after his death, because in The Last Jedi, he is shown in two pieces after his death. This is because Kylo Ren used the Force to turn Rey's lightsaber pointing at Snoke, and ignites it into his body, and uses the force to send it to Rey, cutting Snoke in half, and it would not be kid-friendly for the game.
- In The Last Jedi, Kylo Ren drops his lightsaber and is almost killed by a Praetorian Guard because the guard is holding its staff around Kylo's neck. Rey shouts his true name, Ben, and throws her lightsaber to him. Ben catches the lightsaber, and ignites it into the guard's eye. Then the guard is shown with a hole in his eye (though his face is covered with a mask) and his eye is shown to be burnt. This happens in the game, though the guard is not shown at all after Ben ignites the lightsaber into the guard's face.
- Also during the throne room scene in The Last Jedi, Kylo Ren turns against Snoke but remains on the dark side. However, in the game during the Snoke's Throne Room levels he is actually playable on the Bird Side.
- In The Rise of Skywalker, when Leia calls out to Ben, he drops his lightsaber and Rey stabs him with it. In this game, Rey only whacks him, but still performs the Force heal.
- After Ben Solo resurrects Rey, they never kiss.

National Geographic Book
Like with Angry Birds Star Wars, Angry Birds Star Wars III had a book produced by National Geographic by Amy Briggs. It included five chapters, The Pork Awakens, The Last Jedi Bird, The Rise of Red Skywalker, Bird One and Ham Solo's Story. It was released on November 16, 2020.
Trivia
- This is the third game to allow players to play as both the birds and pigs, following Angry Birds: Star Wars II and Angry Birds 3.
- This is the sixth game to use Telepods, following Angry Birds: Star Wars II, Angry Birds: Stella, Angry Birds Go!, Angry Birds: Transformers and Angry Birds 3.
- This is the first Angry Birds: Star Wars game to include Dahlia, Silver, Luca and Bubbles. There are plans to add birds based off of Poppy, Gale, Tony, Hal, and Wither in the future.
- This has more cutscenes than most Angry Birds games.
- This is also the first Angry Birds game to include dialogue in cutscenes.
- This is the first game to use the movie button.
- Poe is named Poe Damian in the National Geographic book, however it appears he is portrayed by Red, not Damian.
"Movie" Button
When you go into the game, instead of the big triangle start button, there will be a button that says MOVIE. Once you tap/click it, a menu will appear with five options. They should be THE FORCE AWAKENS, THE LAST JEDI, an option that says THE RISE OF SKYWALKER that is locked, ROGUE ONE, and SOLO, which should be available. Once you click an option, it will bring you to those chapters/episodes. Example: If you tap THE LAST JEDI, it will bring up Evacuation of D'Qar, The Master on Ahch-To, and so on. Each option has it's own loading screen. The movie button was added due to not enough story coverage in the first two Angry Birds: Star Wars games, and each "movie" has 5-9 chapters rather than 1 or 2 like before. This also is the reason for more cutscenes.
