Angry Birds 3 (Also known as The Angry Birds Movie 3 in most promotional material), is an upcoming American/Finish computer-animated Family/Adventure film, created by Sony Pictures Animation, based on the popular Videogame Franchise created by the Finish company, Rovio Entertainment. It is set to be released on November 12th, 2024 in honor of the Franchise’s 15th Anniversary.

The film tells the story of the continuing lives of Red, Chuck, Bomb, Matilda, The Blues, Terence, Hal, Bubbles and Stella as they are set up to the challenge to defeat a powerful new enemy who threatens to take over Piggy Island and claim it as their own. Meanwhile, King Smoothcheeks, son of Leonard Mudbeard must try to survive the event while trying to convince her adoptive daughter Silver, to take his place as Ruler of Piggy Island once he retires.

Note: Everything in each section SPECIFICALLY describes everything that happens in the chapter. Despite the text being long, the actual events mentioned take place for a few minutes.

The Fourth Egg

11 Years after the events of The Angry Birds Movie 2, three residents from Pig City were out, exploring. They began with a game of Hide and Seek, in which one of the Pigs, Markov, went out to finding a hiding spot. However, when he got there, he found what he believed to be a Fourth Egg. Since no-one else was around, Markov quickly reacted fast by taking the Egg, but not after swapping it for a bag of sand. Markov and his friends, Roni and Lenny, hurried on back to the City where the current ruler, King Smoothcheeks at age 22, reacted fast and sent the Egg to be cooked by his Chef.

Unfortunately, the Egg hatched and with the baby Bird coming into life, Markov and his friends quickly forgot about the Egg, with Chef Pig seriously unsatisfied with what happened. He went to discuss the little situation to The King, but Smoothcheeks predicted the Bird’s future in his mind, where she would become the newest ruler of Piggy Island once HE retired. So he decided to take the baby Bird in and raise her as his own. He put Markov and his friends in charge of the youngling for now while he went to deal with his King Duties.

That Evening, the baby Bird who was playing with her Pig babysitters, chasing each other around the hallway, saw Smoothcheeks watching the sunset out on the balcony. She heads over there, much to King Pig’s surprise. He says to the youngling, “You sure will become a great ruler one day. Your future is very bright, young one.” The Bird reacts happily and leans on King Pig to show her love for him, with Smoothcheeks happily replying “My very own Bird… Silver” as they both watch the sunset together.

Main Title (Angry Birds 3) and Opening Chase Scene

Fast-forwarding 20 Years later to the Present Day, Corporal Pig alongside a Minion Pig, Ross and Mechanic Pig are in hot pursuit against Chuck and Bomb in a car chase, where the Eggs have been stolen once again. Halfway through the chase, Corporal shows up on top of his vehicle with Mechanic Pig who quickly builds a TNT cannon out of scrap materials. The cannon fires TNT sticks which begin to explode right behind the Birds. Suddenly, Corporal shoots another TNT stick which, presented in slow-motion, bypasses Bomb’s FUSE, setting it off. Bomb explodes, destroying his car, leaving up to Chuck to stop the Pigs.

He simply drives up front, bypassing the Pigs vehicle, then quickly turns his car around, with him now driving backwards. He launches those two big missiles that are on each side of the vehicle and the Pigs’ truck explodes with Chuck speeding out of the dust, carrying the Eggs on his head. Bomb suddenly catches up with Chuck only for the two of them to get caught in a net-launcher made by Mechanic Pig. When all hope seems lost though, Red quickly appears on top of a cliff, watching down on the Pigs, who angrily starts throwing rocks at them. The Pigs quickly run in order to prevent themselves from getting ambushed but the Mechanic has different plans.

He uses the scrap from the destroyed Pig truck to create a catapult, launching Corporal, the Minion Pig and Ross into the air, whilst inside a giant net. Suddenly, Mechanic Pig uses the rest of the scrap to quickly build a jet-stylized contraption that zooms through the sky and grabs the Pigs in the net with a hook while they’re in mid-air. Mechanic Pig frees the Pigs from the net and brings them inside the plane contraption, in which they use to fly away with the Eggs. Meanwhile on a Mountain Peak, however, Hal launches himself from a Slingshot and uses his Boomerang Move to get inside the plane through the back of it. He then gets surrounded by the Pigs who quickly opens his mouth, revealing that he was holding BUBBLES inside his mouth, who then starts to inflate, resulting in the pigs to not have any room left to go anywhere.

Meanwhile on ground level, Chuck poses Matilda as a gun and uses her to fire Egg Bombs at the plane. The contraption explodes and everyone starts to fall to the ground, with Bubbles beginning to deflate. Stella then comes along holding onto some balloons and uses her Bubble Wand to trap Hal and Bubbles inside so they can float safely back to the ground. The Pigs on the other hand… had to suffer getting injured. Once everyone was back on the ground, the Pigs try to get away by slowing backing up, but they couldn’t go anywhere with Terence blocking their path.

Scared by Terence’s intimidation, Mechanic Pig built a big crate out of scrap so he and his allies could hide inside (Except the Pigs left the Eggs behind). But as soon as they shut the door, Red turns the crate around, displaying some text that says “TO RIO DE JANERO”, meaning that Mechanic Pig had accidentally added some text onto the crate, resulting in a Red Helicopter to come along and take the crate away. Alas, the Birds have won once again as they cheer to show their victory.

The Night Before Disaster

After a crazy day, Red and the gang suddenly headed back up to their territory, where The Blues were waiting for them. Everyone begins to settle in, while a conversation between Red and Bomb occurs. Bomb questions Red if their lives may be a bit too predictable but Red believed that simplicity would work fine on them. The Blues then come up to Red with a note, implying that Silver is gonna stay in Pig City for the night, in honour of her 19th Birthday.

Red told The Flock that it is Silver’s Birthday, so he decided to not lift a finger that time around. Meanwhile in Pig City, Smoothcheeks is shown sitting on his thrown, acting very bored. He then gets notice that he has a visitor which who turns out to be Silver. Smoothcheeks welcomes Silver back and that evening, the two of them go out to the balcony to watch the sunset. Smoothcheeks explains to Silver that there will be a time where Piggy Island will need a new ruler, who would continue what the previous one started.

That’s when the big news came and Smoothcheeks told Silver that he was gonna soon RETIRE from Ruler of Piggy Island and that Silver will take his place. Silver couldn’t decide on what to do, though. She told King Pig that she doesn’t think she’s ready to be a ruler. She explains to him that all she really wants is to have a happy life on the island with her friends but that all the war the Birds and Pigs have been through over the years have been ruining her chances. She then leaves the balcony and escorts back inside.

Later at dinnertime, Smoothcheeks makes his first official announcement that he will soon retire. Everyone sitting at the table is suddenly SHOCKED that King Pig was gonna pass on the torch to someone else. When Smoothcheeks revealed that the new ruler would become Silver though, King Pig’s Butler Alfred told him that he just can’t give up the throne to a BIRD. Smoothcheeks then argues with the rest of the pigs at the table that, just because Silver is different doesn’t mean she can’t be the next ruler. But the rest of the pigs weren’t enthusiastic about a BIRD ruling over them. After some more arguing, Silver finally started yelling “EVERYONE! SHUT UP!” Everybody at the table does so and Silver continued, saying “What kind of people are you? Criticizing me for being DIFFERENT. Unacceptable!” She then dismisses herself and heads up to her bedroom in which she used to own as a child.

Later that night, she tosses and turns all over her bed, wondering what she should do about the situation. She says, “(Sigh) Why does this even bother me? I just don’t wanna pick sides. Why can’t we all just leave war behind us?” By saying that she then realises that if she becomes the new ruler, she’ll have Piggy Island’s citizens under HER control. That way, she’ll be able to declare the war over Eggs to be over and The Flock would be safe! Happy with her plan, she gets up and chuckles excitingly. However, there was one flaw in her plan and that was that she had to keep it a SECRET because she knew that if Smoothcheeks found out about that DISADVANTAGES of a BIRD ruling, then he’ll do whatever he can to stop the plan from happening.

Meanwhile, the Pig Delivery Truck pulls up next to the Castle, which unloads a box and drives away. The box opens, revealing to be Corporal Pig, Mechanic Pig, Ross and the Minion Pig who have made it back to Piggy Island after being taken away to Rio. The Pigs then get out of the box, groaning over their little incident and the four of them head back inside the Castle.

Trivia

The film takes place 30 Years after the events of The Angry Birds Movie 2.
- The time jump would depend on how old Smoothcheeks was in the predecessor, due to him being the Ruler of Piggy Island when Silver was born. Tile Denial beleives that during the events of The Angry Birds Movie 2, Smoothcheeks was 10 Years old. At the start of the film, the text displaying "11 Years Ago" would present Smoothcheeks to be 21 Years old at that time. And fast-forwarding 20 years to Present Day would result him to be 41 Years old.
- As for the Birds, Red and The Flock (Except for The Blues and Bubbles) were possibly teenagers during the first two films, since in The Angry Birds Movie 2, it is revealed that Bomb is still living with his mother.
- It is currently unknown how The Blues and Bubbles managed to stay the same age for 30 years, but that'll be worked out soon.
Unlike the predecessors, the characters use their Toons designs, instead of those where they have arms and legs.
- There are some characters that have a mix of previous debuted designs:
  - Smoothcheeks, is a mix between his Toons design and his Classic Game design.
  - Chuck mostly appears as his Toon design but uses his Classic hair and tail-feather appearances.
  - Hal uses his Angry Birds 2 design, but with a slightly longer beak and his Classic top-hair.
  - Stella uses her Angry Birds Stella design.
Silver is revealed to be 19 years old in this film.
The movie's antagonist was made to portray and mock Rovio in any way, mostly due to them abandoning the old Angry Birds games.
There are many references to previous Sony Pictures Animation films in the movie. According to Tile Denial, he explained that there was gonna be a reference (or more) to almost every previous Sony Pictures Animation film, with exception of the Direct-to-DVD films and the 2017 disaster, The Emoji Movie
- The final battle where multiple Birds and Pigs fight off the antagonist's army in order to get their island back is a reference to Open Season.
- Before the Opening Chase Scene would start, there would be a voice narrating a documentary on a single flower before getting trampled by Corporal Pig's vehicle, interrupting the voice's documentary. This is a reference to the Documentary-style stuff from Surf's Up.
- In the scene where the antagonist and his crew start to entirely take over Piggy Island, it is a callback to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, where Chester V starts taking over the land.
Leonard and Mighty Eagle don't appear in the film, but rather mentioned throughout.
