Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome (formerly known as Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome Beta from December 3, 2015 to April 17, 2016) is a version of Angry Birds Trilogy available for computers using the Google Chrome web browser or any Chromium web browser.

It opened on January 4, 2016 as a replacement for Angry Birds Chrome.

Aside from the backgrounds being changed in terms of animation, some other features were added to the backgrounds, such as Dandelions in Poached Eggs' first background. The birds' sprites have a thick outline, but they don't have smooth movement, they continue with their one-sprite expressions.

In Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome, you can also create an account and avatar with the Bird-O-Matic.

Episodes and Gameplay

The Chrome Dimension and Pig Tales featured under Angry Birds Classic. Flock Favorites is replaced by Pig Tales in Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome.

  • Classic: Poached Eggs through Jurassic Pork and including Chrome Dimension.
  • Seasons: Trick or Treat through Ragnahog.
  • Rio: Smuggler's Den through Treasure Hunt

Features

  • All three games included in the collection have Bonus Levels.
  • The game also includes biographies of the Birds, new backgrounds and new Toons animated HD cutscenes.
  • The game also has a level progression detector, with 3 blank stars at the top of the games and episodes. Collect stars and the stars will be filled. One star means you've collected 1/3rd. 2 means 2/3rd. And 3 means 3/3rd.

King Pig Mode

This was added on December 15, 2015. This is similar to the Golden King Pig from the original Angry Birds.

To unlock, you must get 3 stars in Poached Eggs through Birdday Party or 3 stars in Trick or Treat through Piglantis.

This is a special mode You will be randomly sent to one of these 5 EXTRA Minigames and a random level.

Minigame 1. King Pig: All the birds turn into pigs and the pigs turn into eggs. You have to complete the level by destroying the eggs with your available pigs in the slingshot. The different ways that the pigs use to solve their problems with the unique abilities is humorous, there is a set of pigs that has a splitting ability like the Blues and inflation like Bubbles - the balloon pig even looks like a balloon. And who to simulate Terence than the Fat Pig from Angry Birds Space? The Bad Piggies are playable in this mode, and they have swapped their roles with the eggs, which could possibly mean the Birds had decided to take the Bad Piggies' role by building forts to protect their eggs. The pig with an exploding bowling ball resembles and takes the role for the Matilda, by dropping a bowling ball on the egg fortress. The Balloon Pig will inflate. The Pig with a bow on her head and blush from the Angry Birds Seasons episode Hogs and Kisses produces bubbles like Stella. The Pig with a jetpack speeds up like Chuck. Corporal Pig has a fuse on his helmet, enabling the pig to explode like Bomb. The Pig with a long, fake beak boomerang back like Hal. The small pig actually has two smaller companions to imitate the Blues. The regular Minion Pig cries ''Nyah!'', like Red. The Fat Pig does the same for Terence. This was presumably before there were three eggs left on the island.

Minigame 2. Material Mix-Up!: Two of the materials of the Pigs' fortress will be swapped. The number of birds in the level and the rules to win remain the same, but with two of the materials switched, it changes the approach of a level.

Minigame 3. Bird Frenzy!: Beat the level with UNLIMITED BIRDS!! When it sounds easy though, it's actually a little challenging. You only have a limited amount of time to clear the level and the bird choice is random and you're not told which bird might come next. For example, being given a bunch of Red Birds to combat in an all-stone level is extremely difficult.

Minigame 4. Total Destruction!: Click the level to explode it! You have 10 seconds. Everywhere you click creates a small explosion. This event is not nearly as challenging in most cases.

Minigame 5. Pull the Corporal Pig's Snot: You must simultaneously press the "A" and "Right Arrow" keys on the keyboard.

Avatar

On February 17, 2016, Rovio announced that the Bird-O-Matic would be added to Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome on March 13, 2016 along with phase 7 of the Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome beta.

Avatars/Accounts were released on Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome on March 13, 2016, with the launch of the "Bird-O-Matic" tool. The Bird-O-Matic is where you can pick a character to be your avatar and put accessories on them.

In Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome, the Bird-O-Matic can be accessed by clicking the ''Avatar'' button, then the first character chosen is Red but other characters can be chosen or bought with the coins earned in Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome. The characters are these, the ones that are bought with coins doesn't have the ''free'' information:

  • Red: Free
  • Female Red: Free
  • Jay: Free
  • Chuck: Free
  • Matilda
  • Silver
  • Bomb
  • Terrence
  • Stella
  • Hal
  • Bubbles

A background can be chosen, which can be one of those:

The player can customize their bird with accessories, which are for head, eye, beak and torso. They cost coins. The player can modify his bird all him wants and after saving it, his avatar will be the bird with the accessories that will also appear on a tree

Trivia

  1. Unlike Angry Birds Trilogy, Hal, Bubbles, Stella, and Silver also have Bird Biographies in this game. Silver's Bird Biography is the same as her description in the Angry Birds Magazine.
  2. The Mighty League doesn't appear in Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome.
  3. Golden Eggs are replaced by Chrome Dimension and Chrome Symbols in this game.
  4. The Mighty Eagle can now be used if the player loses 5 times or completes the level.
  5. In the cutscenes, Matilda does not appear as she usually does in the original game cutscenes.
  6. On April 2, 2017 at 6:00 am, both the birds and pigs' designs were updated, leaving them with their Toons designs and giving Hal a brand new design, which he has a curved orange beak, a body like the classic design but with updated feathers and a yellow ring around the eyes. Corporal Pig, Foreman Pig, and King Pig kept their original designs but updated to be like their Toons designs. King Pig's crown received golden spheres. Bubbles didn't receive one, mostly because his in-game design was the same as his Toons design. Silver already had her Toons design in game.

Glitches

Patched

  • From December 3, 2015 to March 30, 2016, there was this glitch in the Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome version of Angry Birds Seasons where the birds have their original designs while the pigs have their Chrome designs (This is a reference to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Angry Birds Trilogy). On March 31, 2016, this was fixed so both the birds and pigs have their Chrome designs in Angry Birds Trilogy Chrome version of Angry Birds Seasons.
