Five Nights at Reddy's is a point-and-click survival horror game that was made when Rovio and Scott Cawthon decided to work together. In this game, you play as Pig Schmidt, who is hired as a night guard at Reddy Fazbird's Pizza, the goal is to survive five nights and avoid getting caught by the mascots of Reddy Fazbird's Pizza...
Gameplay[]
The gameplay is very similar to Five Nights at Freddy's, only with a few changes, you have to avoid being killed by Reddy, Bluey, Matilda, Chucky, and a mysterious Golden Reddy, and your main defense is the monitors, doors, and a slingshot. When a mascot appears at the door, you must fire a plush bird (each one is a plush of the mascots at Reddy's), each one has a different skill, and each can close the door for a different amount of time. (e.g. Reddy's plush can hold the door for one minute, which is one ingame hour). As the nights go on, you get more powerful birds, but your supply of plushes runs lower, you either survive, or die a very horrible death.
Power[]
Don't think you're safe just by closing the doors, each action (other then using the plushes, which is it's own mechanic) can drain power. 1% of power is drained every 9.6 seconds, nothing you can do about it. Doing one action, which is two bars, (monitors, doors, lights) will drain 1% of the power every 4.8 seconds. Doing two actions, which is three bars, drains 1% every 2.4 seconds. Three actions, four bars, drains 1% every 1.2 seconds. And four actions, five bars, (Maximum!!!) can drain 1% every 0.6 seconds!
Slingshot[]
Because you're a pig, you've grown too lazy to go and reach for the light and door controls, and luckily for you, you've found a slingshot and a few plushies that can help you close the doors and turn on the lights, each plush represents a different mascot, and each one has their own unique ability, at the start of night 1, you have unlimited plushes, on night two, you have 30. On night 3, you have 20. On night 4, 15. And on night 5 and any night after that (other then custom night, where you can choose your number of plushes), you only have 10. If you want to undo the action of a plush, just fire another one. Example, if you fired a Reddy plush and the mascot is gone after 30 seconds, you can just fire another and the door will be opened again. Slingshots do not take any power away.
Reddy - The first plush, available at night 1, it has no special ability, and can close the door or turn on the lights for 1 minute (about 1 ingame hour)
Bluey - The second plush, gained if you complete night 1, it can split apart, one will hit the door, the other will hit the light, and the third will hit the door opposite to the one you were aiming at, each one will close the door or turn on the light for 45 seconds
Matilda - The third plush, gained if you complete night 2, it will shoot out an egg bomb underneath it, the egg bomb only works if you aim Matilda at the light, Matilda will turn on the light and release the egg bomb, which will hit the door controls, Matilda can close the door or turn on the light for 1 minute, and the egg bomb can do the exact same things just double the time.
Chucky - The fourth plush, gained if you complete night 3, it just goes super fast, it will close the door or turn on the lights for 1 minute if the ability is not used, and 2 minutes if the ability is used.
Golden Reddy - A secret plush, you can only get this once, if you complete night 4, and when you go into night 5, immediately honk the Reddy plush sitting on the desk and then quickly flip up your monitor, once you put it down, you'll have a Golden Reddy plush sitting on your slingshot, once fired, it will activate both the door and light in your desired direction for 3 minutes, however, after those 3 minutes, the animatronic will become very aggressive.
Reddy Frostbird - A secret unlockable plush, if you type in the secret code in the main menu, you can get this plush, doing so will grant +5 more plushes every night, each one being Reddy Frostbird, Reddy Frostbird is a very powerful plush, he acts the same as the Reddy plush with only one difference, in the entire span of time Reddy Frostbird closed the door or turned on a light (which is one minute), no power can go down, he will freeze the power in place.
Toy Reddy-He's a bird ready for fun,if the code 1/0/2/7 is used in custom night in update 1.5.2,toy reddy be the most active than the rest,even golden reddy will be turned off for the whole night,toy reddy's lore is still being solved,if it's a normal night or you are playing custom night without the code 1/0/2/7 in,he will just be his parts in a box in the office,but a sticky note will be on it that says:coming soon!
Characters[]
Reddy Fazbird (Red as Freddy Fazbear) - The main mascot, he activates on the third night, unless all your power goes out and, and will hide in the shadows, and will stay at the door the longest, he approaches from the right side, but if all your power goes at, he will suddenly appear from the left door, and then he will jumpscare you, ending the game. A way to know where he is that when he is getting near you, he will play "The Angry Birds theme"
Bluey (Jake as Bonnie) - The guitarist of the band, he activates on the first night and is the first animatronic to try to attack you, his movements are fast, and sometimes, you might see him in three different places at once (We all know what that means). In order to stop his attack, close the left door.
Matilda (Matilda being Chica) - The backup singer, she activates on the first night and is the second animatronic to activate, her movements are slower then Bluey's, but she stays at the door a bit longer, the way to stop her attack is to close the right door.
Chucky (Chuck being Foxy) - The decommissioned entertainer at Pirate's Cove, he activates on the second night, every once in a while, you must check the camera at Pirate's Cove to stop his attack, don't just too less, but also don't check too much, if you fail to keep watch on him and he is able to escape Pirate's Cove, you have approximately five seconds to close the left door before he jumpscares you. However, stopping him will make matters worse, the first time you block him, he will knock on the door, draining 1% of your power, the second time, he will drain 5% more, third time, 5% more, meaning if you fail to stop him 3 times, he just drained your power down by 11%.
Golden Reddy (Red being Golden Freddy) - A mysterious hallucination, when he appears, flashes of "It's Me" will be seen, and he will appear in your room, you have a few seconds to flip up your monitor to make him go away, or else you're dead.
Reddy Frostbird (Red being Freddy Frostbear) - A secret unlockable animatronic, the most hostile and aggressive of them all, he is unlocked if you go to custom night and type in the numbers in the secret code (Reddy to 1, Bluey to 2, Matilda to 3, and Chucky to 1) and add whatever number of plushes you like and press go, instead of the usual animatronics, Reddy Frostbird is activated instead, now, every 5 seconds, your screen will freeze and you have to spam press the middle of the screen to make the ice go away, if you're too slow, Reddy Frostbird would've entered your office and killed you. The only way to stop Reddy Frostbird is when he is at any doorway, close both doors and make sure that no lights are on, he will reset and go back to the stage. Note that all the other animatronics cannot be active while Reddy Frostbird is active. Once beaten this night is no longer accessible again.
Toy Reddy (Red being Toy Freddy) -A animatronic that can only be found in 1/0/2/7 mode in update 1.5.2,he will go slow if you are going too fast pulling up and down the cameras,if you don't do that,he will pick up speed,he won't go away when the right door is closed,that will just make him angry, then he will take some of your power and go away,but if you open and close the right door over and over again,that will make him confused and then he will go away without taking any of your power,he was announced at the game awards 2020
Night 6[]
After you've beaten night 5, you decide to have a little more fun, night 6 operates the same as night 5, only that the animatronics are way more aggressive. If you complete it, you gain a star.
Custom Night[]
So you've beat the bonus 6th night, now what? Fear not! As now, you have a choice to play Custom Night, you can set up the difficulty of each animatronic, and the number of plushes you have! The most difficult you can get is setting each animatronic to 20 (Golden Reddy is not available), and setting the plushes to 10 (The lowest you can set them), if you complete it, you gain a star.
Star System[]
There are a total of 3 stars in this game, the first star is gained by beating night 5. The second by beating night 6. And the third is gained by beating night 7, also called the 20/20/20/20 mode. If you get all 3 stars, you will gain a secret code.
Easter Eggs[]
There are several easter eggs in the game.
- In the backstage, you might see an endoskeleton mascot that is portrayed by a Hatchling.
- Chucky might hum the "Angry Birds Theme"
- Golden Reddy
- A rare death screen of the main four animatronics.
- If you go to custom and set Reddy to 1, Bluey to 9, Matilda to 8, and Chucky to 7, you will immediately get killed by Golden Reddy.
Secret Code[]
Once you've gotten the three stars, you've gained a secret code, this code is "1-2-3-1" in order for this to work, you must have your facebook account linked to the game. Now go to the main menu and you suddenly find a new option called "Secret Code", you must type the code in, and now, you have gained the mysterious Reddy Frostbird in any games that you have linked your facebook account with.
