Lord Sinensis

Lord Sinensis is the main antagonist and final boss of Angry Birds Epic: Uprising. He is the ruler of the Citreans, a race of citrus-like creatures.

Appearance

Sinensis is a humanoid being with orange skin and amber tattoos. He has fire-like, rainbow-colored hair. His eyes consist of black sclera and white pupils.

He wears a green robe with many silver designs on it, and a dark green cape. On his waist is a brown belt with a golden buckle. He wears black boots.

Personality

On the surface, Sinensis appears to be a mischevious villain with a sarcastic and arrogant tone. During cutscenes, his dialogue consists of snarky comments. He also breaks the fourth wall many times.

However, his true personality is merciless and destructive, which makes him very out-of-place for an Angry Birds game. His lust for power and destruction makes him appear apathetic to those who he kills. He views other life forms as nothing more than creatures to kill or Citrify.

Unlike King Pig, who is comedic and occasionally a good guy, or Mario, who redeemed himself, Sinensis is purely evil and has absolutely no redeeming qualities.

History

Angry Birds Epic: Uprising

Sinensis was an evil being whose goal was to destroy everything in his sight. He used his powers to create an army of creatures with a similar appearance to him; the Citreans. He was the ruler of Piggy Planet, and the Citreans were the dominant species for the time. He forced the other species to worship him like a god. This was until the Mighty reatures rose up, and sealed him away in the Master Emerald at Chaos Shrine, and the Citreans were destroyed by the Chaos Emeralds.

Despite being sealed away in the Master Emerald, Sinensis retained a very small portion of his power. One thousand years later, he managed to regain enough and destroy Chaos Shrine, scattering the Chaos Emeralds. He then brought his minions back to life, and determined himself to seek revenge on the Angry Birds, as they are affiliated with the Mighty Creatures. He then took over King Pig's Castle.

Trivia

• He is named after his species' scientific name; Citrus × sinensis.
• Despite being killed at the end of Angry Birds Epic: Uprising, he appears as a playable character in Super Angry Smash Birds. However, SASB is considered non-canon.
