The Angry Birds and the Equestria Girls is a comic book franchise that is a crossover of the Angry Birds and the Equestria Girls franchise. It is labeled with the Angry Birds Legends banner,making it non-canon to the Angry Birds Movie Universe. It is also non-canon to the Equestria Girls franchise
The plots of the comic book issues are based on the Equestria Girls films but taken from the Angry Birds' perspective

A CD audio play adaptation of the comic books is being developed with some of the Angry Birds cast and some of the Equestria Girls cast reprising their roles.

Matt and the Dazzlings is a spin-off original story which takes place after the events shown in Matt and the Rainbooms. It focuses on Matt,Adagio,Aria,and Sonata after the former Dazzlings lost the battle of the bands to the Rainbooms.
- The comics from both franchises are published by IDW Publishing but they are separate.
- The way the comics work is based on the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead as the Angry Birds are interacting with the characters from the movies in the events of those movies.
- The scenes from the movies are reused but they're taken from the Angry Birds' perspective
