The Flock is the name for the core group of birds in the Angry Birds franchise. They are a group of birds who live on an unnamed island in the Pacific Ocean and fight the Bad Piggies, who continually try to steal their eggs.
Original Flock[]
The Flock originally consisted of 5 birds and they battled the Pigs from the moment the Pig King decided to start stealing eggs.
The original Flock fought several battles with the Pigs before any new members were added.
Expanding the Ranks[]
Hal[]
In the course of battles with the Pigs, the Birds encountered a green bird with a long beak who was imprisoned by the Bad Piggies. The birds freed him and he was later able to help them defeat the Pig Bosses, save the eggs and destroy a small Pig fortress. In gratitude, he was awarded three stars and inducted as a member. He is the first new member of the flock.
Terence[]
Red's older brother, after several victories against the Pigs, the Flock's luck turned and the entire team was captured by the King Pig. The abduction was witnessed by Terence, the Big Brother Bird. Usually a solitary creature, Terence set off to rescue The Flock. He first freed Hal, then defeated the Pig Bosses and freed his avian brothers. Terence was awarded membership in The Flock and has been seen with them ever since.
Bubbles[]
With Terence's might and Hal's unique talent added to their ranks, The Flock was successful in repelling the Pigs' attempts at stealing their eggs. One Halloween, Jim, Jay and Jake noticed a new Orange Bird who had inadvertently gotten captured by the Pigs. They set off to rescue him but found he was more than capable of rescuing himself. Bubbles has been seen on several adventures since and is a full-time member of The Flock.
Stella[]
Stella joined the Flock in the Angry Birds Seasons episode Back to School. She is shown to blow bubbles at the pigs which lift them up in the air and then drops them to their deaths. it is currently known she joined The Flock by luring three Large Pigs and a Helmet Pig down a cliff by using a bubble shaped like an Egg.
History[]
In the course of the battles with the Pigs, The Flock has traveled to many different locations and environments, including the desert, underground caves, and beaches. The Pigs never rest in their quest to steal the eggs and the Flock often has to retrieve their eggs on holidays and special occasions.
At an indeterminate time, the Flock was captured as rare birds and taken to Rio where they fought with Blu, Jewel and their friends against Nigel the cockatoo, Mauro and his Marmosets. Several members did not appear originally in Rio, but arrived after the others, so it is possible they were not captured originally and made their way to Rio to rescue the team.
In addition to Rio, the team has also traveled to China twice and Japan, where they wore a variety of traditional Japanese outfits.
Trivia[]
- It has been stated by Yoshi that Silver does not exist in his continuity and not a part of the flock. As the events of Angry Birds 2 never happened.
